LEGITSCOPE / FIELD NOTES

The details make the difference.

A practical photo checklist for an AI sneaker authenticity assessment.

Start with the whole shoe

Photograph the complete shoe from the side in soft daylight. Keep the shape, sole and upper visible. Avoid wide-angle distortion, filters and screenshots of seller listings when you can take your own pictures.

Get closer to the evidence

A second image can show the tongue label or inner size tag. Keep the camera parallel to the label so the small print stays sharp. A third angle can show the logo, stitching or outsole. If you include the box, keep its label readable.

Compare, then ask

Check whether model references and size information agree across the shoe and box. Packaging alone cannot establish authenticity; boxes and labels can be replaced. Use follow-up chat for a specific unanswered detail, rather than assuming another photo will guarantee a result.

Know the limits

A photograph cannot reveal every material, manufacturing variation or hidden component. For a high-value purchase, combine visual findings with provenance and an independent specialist inspection.
