LEGITSCOPE / FIELD NOTES

A score is a signal. Not a certificate.

What an AI authenticity estimate can—and cannot—tell you.

Read the evidence first

LegitScope analyses visible details in the photos and context you provide. Read the findings and missing information before interpreting any score. The model may be wrong about a brand, product or feature.

Percentages are not calibrated probabilities

A displayed percentage expresses the model’s directional estimate. It is not a scientifically validated chance that an item is genuine, a resale valuation, or proof of authenticity. Do not compare two scores as if they came from a certified laboratory.

An inconclusive result is useful

If the evidence is insufficient, the assessment can ask for a sharper photo or a detail you can type. Additional information may improve the context but does not guarantee a definitive result.

Use the right next step

For a purchase, dispute, insurance claim or resale guarantee, obtain appropriate independent verification and supporting documentation. LegitScope does not issue authenticity certificates.
