Look beyond a familiar logo
A logo can be reproduced and a date code can be copied. The useful question is whether the visible details make sense together, not whether one element looks convincing in isolation.
Keep the item and context together
Tell the chat which detail concerns you or add a requested angle. Avoid receipts containing addresses, payment data or another person’s private information.
A photo has a boundary
Texture, repairs and construction can be difficult to judge from an image. Different years and editions may vary. An inconclusive result is preferable to treating an unclear detail as proof.
